Jacks Nursery

Baby Jack has just about grown out of his cradle and is about to move into his own room, the nursery!

Just want to share some photos of his room with you.

Have a blessed day! Xx

Finding Joy in the Chaos.

Styling my heart to laugh with my children.

As a mum of 3 young boys, life is busy! We are always on the go.

The job list never. seems. to. end.

I have the tendency to become so task orientated in my day that I forget to laugh and to live my day to day full of joy. I have a list to complete, I have chores that need to be done... and that can sometimes be enough to distract me from the smiles on my kids faces, the quirks that make them laugh, the silly humour that gives them the giggles...
Im learning to relax... to laugh every now and then at a bit of toilet humour
(with 3 boys in the house, just making a fart sound can cause loads of laughter),
to have a tickle fight, or give uncontrollable kisses that make them go pang nang tang with the giggles... and to laugh, when they so desperately want me to laugh along with them.

...like the other day...
when I had just finished folding all the washing (and I was ready to flip my lid if anyone destroyed the neatly folded and organised piles) and while I was putting it all away, they walked into my room with a pair of their dad's jocks stretched so much they were wearing them over there shoulders! ...I wanted to tell them off for touching the folded clean washing... I wanted to teach them to respect other peoples things... and to learn not to break and damage other peoples property ... but I chose to laugh WITH them in this moment. I chose to find the joy in my chaos of housework and daily jobs.

I chose to laugh in the chaos!

Mummy. Don't forget to laugh.

"Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

New Season

It's the start of a new season in my life...
I sit here typing to you, sitting next to my precious 7 week old baby sleeping soundly in his cradle, and I am reminded at how simple life can be. Having my 3rd baby has already changed me. Its challenged my thinking, my priorities and my expectations.

This is the start of a new journey for me, and I invite you to come with me...
...a journey of enjoying making my house a beautiful home for my family...
...a journey of keeping my heart pure and right...

I called this blog 'Heart and Home Styled' because as much as I love to style my home, my first priority is to style my heart. My heart needs to be clean and beautiful. My motives pure and right... and then I can worry about everything else.

This blog will be honest... and styled. I will share with you some of my thoughts and devotions, and photos of my home and family. Its not a blog to compete with or compare to. I want you to feel apart of, encouraged and inspired by. I want to be relatable and relational.

I hope you follow me in this new season.

Welcome!
